A graduate of the MPT program at the Institute of Physical Therapy in St. Augustine, Florida, Heidi has her more than 15 years of experience as a physical therapist and multi-clinic site director. An active member of the sports and private practice sections of the APTA, Heidi advocates for independent small businesses and speaks as a subject matter expert at industry conferences and events. Heidi is a mentor to physical therapy students and local entrepreneurs and leverages her platform to promote the importance of diversity, company culture, and overall business acumen for private practice physical therapy clinics.
Dave Manzo has a degree in accounting and finance from Franklin & Marshall College and has more than 15 years' experience in the healthcare management field. As one of the founders of Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, Dave focuses on managing the continued growth and success of the company, while remaining intricately involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations. An avid basketball player, Dave competed in the Division III National Championship and has coached at the high school level for ten years.
David Straight has been a physical therapist for 15 years and was an owner/partner of four physical therapy clinics in North San Diego County for almost ten years. He has been involved in web and ecommerce development since 1996. He developed E-Rehab and tested its services initially at his physical therapy clinics. They were so well received that they naturally evolved into a service model for use in rehab therapy private practices. David now consults with PT practice owners, helping them develop online marketing strategies and providing marketing services.
Chuck has 36 years of physical therapy experience including more than 20 years as a practice owner. Chuck earned a transitional doctorate in physical therapy from the EIM Institute of Health Professions. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of California at Irvine, a master's degree in physical therapy from the Sargent College School of Allied Health Professions at Boston University, and a bachelor's degree in physical education from Cleveland State University. Chuck was one of the first people in the country to earn board certification as a specialist in sports physical therapy, and he later served as a board member for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is the founder of HCS Consulting, Inc., which specializes in assisting physical therapy private practice owners in managing the business aspects of their practices. He also serves as the executive director of the Physical Therapy Business Alliance.
Lynn Steffes is president of Steffes & Associates, a rehabilitation consulting group. She provides consulting services to rehab therapy providers nationwide, working with 50-100 practices per year. Lynn is an expert in marketing and program development, customer service initiatives and patient alumni programs, and optimal reimbursement and documentation strategies.
She graduated from Northwestern University in 1981 and completed her transitional doctorate in physical therapy in December 2010. In addition to her work as a consultant, Lynn is a frequent speaker at both national and regional conferences. She also works as an adjunct faculty member in the physical therapy programs at the University of Wisconsin's LaCrosse, Madison, and Milwaukee campuses. Lynn is on the Nominating Committee and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Private Practice Section of the APTA.
Mike Manzo graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 1997. He then received his master's degree in physical therapy from MCP/Hahnemann University (now Drexel) in Philadelphia in 1999. Mike founded Atlantic Physical Therapy Center in 2001 with his brother Dave Manzo. Together, they have grown the business to 11 outpatient physical therapy clinic locations in New Jersey.
Mike is passionate about human anatomy and the biomechanics of movement. He recently completed his Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) from the Gray Institute and serves as the director of clinical services for Atlantic Physical Therapy Center. He also is an avid Crossfitter.

With a clinical background in long-term care and acute rehabilitation, Steven is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the APTA's Private Practice Section. He also donates his time, as well as his expertise in training and leadership, as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.
